Carrie is an exceptional school nurse at Roadrunner School, which serves K-12 students with significant emotional and behavioral needs. Her ability to connect with students of all ages is remarkable, and she consistently demonstrates care and compassion in her interactions. When students experience crises, Carrie is often among the first to offer support, modeling the necessary empathy and patience to help the student regain emotional control. Beyond the typical responsibilities of a school nurse, such as managing daily medications and general health concerns, Carrie also provides invaluable support to staff and families. She actively participates in IEP meetings, CFTs, and other campus meetings, sharing her expertise and insights to benefit the entire school community – staff, students, and families alike. Carrie is always willing to take the time out of her day to support the needs of our campus and does so with a positive attitude. She is a role model for all of us.
