I enthusiastically nominate Judy Stefaniak as a true Superstar School Nurse! Judy is the heart of Desert Trails Elementary and an absolute pillar of support within our entire school community. She brings exceptional care, professionalism, and warmth to everything she does—as our school nurse, our 504 coordinator, and as a trusted lead nurse within the district. Her ability to juggle multiple responsibilities while ensuring every student receives compassionate and competent care is simply extraordinary. Judy provides unwavering support for our Learning for Independence (LFI) students, many of whom have complex medical and developmental needs. She collaborates closely with teachers, therapists, and families to ensure these students are safe, supported, and cared for with dignity. Her knowledge and calm presence are a daily source of comfort and strength for our entire team. Beyond her work at Desert Trails, Judy serves as a district lead nurse, guiding and mentoring other school nurses across PVSchools. She is a respected leader, always willing to share her expertise and provide thoughtful, empathetic guidance. Judy is the definition of a Superstar—caring, capable, collaborative, and committed. We are beyond fortunate to have her on our team and in our lives!
