PSNI ANNOUNCES IMMEDIATE AVAILABILITY OF THE SNAP IMMUNIZATION LINK FOR THE STATE OF NEW HAMPSHIRE
New Hampshire school districts can seamlessly import student immunization records into their SNAP Health Center EHR from NHIIS, the state immunization information system
AMHERST, NH – July 5, 2022 – PSNI, the nation’s leading provider of school nurse electronic health record (EHR) software, today announced the immediate availability of the company’s SNAP Imm Link solution for the state of New Hampshire. The SNAP Imm Link allows school districts using the SNAP Health Center to import the most current student immunization information from NHIIS, the New Hampshire state immunization information system (IIS). This is a huge advantage to schools who can now process their required immunization compliance in just moments. Without this feature, schools must contact parents and/or medical providers to get immunization records manually, a time-consuming process that can result in incomplete records.
With the addition of New Hampshire, PSNI’s SNAP Imm Link now interfaces with 29 state immunization registries. “School nurses must track every required immunization for every student in every grade in every public school. If students are missing even one required immunization, they can’t legally attend school,” said Terrie Hamlin BS, RN, PSNI’s Vice President of Nursing Informatics. “Before the SNAP Imm Link, nurses and administrators could spend weeks or months trying to get updated immunization records from parents. With the SNAP Imm Link, nurses can retrieve the complete immunization history for all of the students in a school in just seconds. It’s a real game-changer for them.”
Designed by school nurses, SNAP Health Center is best-known for its nurse-centric design. “Our focus is on giving nurses tools that work the way they do. Nurses tell us all the time how great it is to use tools designed for nurses, by nurses,” continued Hamlin. “A tool like SNAP Immunization Link gives school nurses back days and weeks of time – every year. We’re very proud to release SNAP Imm Link for New Hampshire and look forward to more states in the near future.”
