HOPATCONG, NJ - At Hopatcong Middle School, a monthly award recognizes faculty and staff for their hard work and commitment to academic excellence, with over-sized footwear.

The "Big Shoes Award," similar to the employee of the month, is commemorated by a giant gilded sneaker used to represent those individuals who go the extra mile.

This month, Anna Voloshin, school nurse was chosen to receive the honor.

"Mrs. Voloshin is superb at doing her job as school nurse and taking care of the children at the Hopatcong Middle School," officials said. "Whether it just be a band-aid, an emergency or sometimes just a simple chat with a familiar face. Her job here is super important every day with keeping all of us safe and it is always appreciated by all. And for that, she was presented the Big Shoes Award."

A school nurse during the time of COVID-19 is certainly deserving of kudos, and we here at Patch extend our congratulations.
