PSNI ANNOUNCES IMMEDIATE AVAILABILITY OF THE SNAP IMM LINK FOR THE STATE OF RHODE ISLAND

Rhode Island school districts can seamlessly import student immunization records into their SNAP Health Center EHR from KIDSNET/RICAIR, the state immunization information system

AMHERST, NH – December 6, 2022 – PSNI, the nation’s leading provider of school nurse electronic health record (EHR) software, today announced the immediate availability of the company’s SNAP Imm Link solution for the state of Rhode Island. The SNAP Imm Link allows school districts using the SNAP Health Center to import the most current student immunization information from KIDSNET/RICAIR, the Rhode Island state immunization information system (IIS). This is a huge advantage to schools who can now process their required immunization compliance in just moments. Without this feature, schools must contact parents and/or medical providers to get immunization records manually, a time-consuming process that can result in incomplete records.

With the addition of Rhode Island, PSNI’s SNAP Imm Link now interfaces with 30 state immunization registries. “Tracking down immunization records and calculating compliance for every single student is a little-seen school nurse activity,” said Terrie Hamlin BS, RN, PSNI’s Vice President of Nursing Informatics. “Even in a small school district, this can take nurses days or weeks of time spread out across many months. The SNAP Imm Link gives school nurses access to complete student immunization history data in minutes.”

Designed by school nurses, SNAP Health Center is best-known for its nurse-centric design. “Our focus is on giving nurses tools that work the way they do. Nurses tell us all the time how great it is to use tools designed for nurses, by nurses,” continued Hamlin. “A tool like SNAP Immunization Link gives school nurses back days and weeks of time – every year. We’re very proud to release SNAP Imm Link for Rhode Island and look forward to more states in the near future.”
